In Mexico City there are many terraces to admire our capital from above, but also to enjoy the best avenues and pedestrian areas. And today, in these times when we need to recover our lives, dreams and our incredible cities, the terraces are becoming a very viable alternative to go out, live together, enjoy and also reactivate the economy in a safe way.
The perfect combination between a closed space and an outdoor space such as terraces, makes them a great place where coexistence is safer to avoid contagion. Today we present a selection of delicious terraces in CDMX, visiting them will make you experience CDMX from another perspective.
BALCÓN DEL ZÓCALO
It is another of the jewels of the ‘mere’ heart of the Historic Center and undoubtedly has one of the best views of the city. Here you will appreciate the towers of the Metropolitan Cathedral in an exquisite way and the Zócalo, probably, like nowhere else. Its seafood is very rich, light and very Mexicanized. Apart from that they harvest their own ingredients in the terrace garden. An excellent space to contemplate the city at its point of origin.

TERRAZA TIMBERLAND
In the heart of the Tabacalera neighborhood, the Timberland Terrace also has an amazing and panoramic view of the Republic Square and the Monument to the Revolution. It has become a place that hosts a great diversity of entertainment and cultural events, as well as activities such as yoga in the open air.

TERRAZA CATEDRAL
It is perhaps the ‘queen of the terraces’ in CDMX. It is part of the Hostal Catedral and its view is amazing because you can see the Metropolitan Cathedral, but also part of the Templo Mayor and the Zócalo. The mix is incredible, and without a doubt, it is one of the best places to see sunsets in the city. In addition, when it is clear, even the volcanoes in the background are noticeable here.

TERRAZA CHA CHA CHÁ
It has one of the best views of the city with the magnanimous Monument to the Revolution in the background and with a fairly large surface that makes you feel like you are in a kind of lounge-terrace. Its Mexican food is very good and its decoration is very pleasant, its varied and original cocktails and its wine list have many rich options.

LA ÚNICA
The local food, both from the sea and from the land, is an absolute delight and the decoration in the different rooms of this place is very beautiful. But its terrace is perhaps the best. With its roof with vines and a view of the trees and planters, the stay here is super pleasant.
Direction: Anatole France 98, Colonia Polanco.
Enjoying a city can be done from a wide variety of activities, but, without a doubt, one of the most appreciated is that of contemplation. Simply sitting, feeling, seeing and inhabiting a city is undoubtedly one of the most rewarding activities out there, and of course, in this sense, visiting the terraces is a basic one to do the above.
