Typical Mexican Markets We recommend some of the handicraft markets in Mexico City, where you will find beautiful typical Mexican things. This way you will have more interaction with Mexican culture on your trip.
1. Bazaar Sábado - Área de San Ángel
Since 1960 artists who promote their own creations have been meeting in one of the most emblematic squares of San Ángel (Jacinto). The artisans work the pieces during the week so that each one of them has a personal and original touch. Here you will find products made of brass, glass, tin, clay and wood; sculptures, paintings, ornaments that tell Huichol legends and stories, dehydrated and encapsulated natural flowers or accessories made with polymer clay that imitates Murano glass.

2. Mercado Artesanal Mexicano de Coyoacán
In this place, tradition and new proposals are combined to preserve the creativity of the products made by Mexican hands. It consists of two levels, in the first you can find painting workshops, stained glass windows, weaving and even alebrijes; as well as accessories and typical sweets. On the second floor you will find original products created mostly by young entrepreneurs that are ideal for a gift or decoration.

3. La Ciudadela
On the occasion of the celebration of the 1968 Olympic Games, artisans from Mexico City were summoned to promote their work by taking advantage of the transit of tourists. Due to the success, the idea was taken up again for the soccer world cup and was established permanently to display products from different regions of Mexico. Here you can find rustic furniture, guitars, accessories, textiles or carved wood.
