Antara Fashion Hall offers a unique outdoor space with a balance between glamor and style where shopping becomes a unique experience. Antara seeks to provide the highest quality of life, through an exclusive pedestrian promenade where there are large flagship stores and an offer that obeys the latest fashion trends for men, women and children. Additionally, there is a wide variety of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, cinemas and interior design shops.
The great success of Antara Fashion Hall is due to the combination of several factors, but above all to its innovative design, which breaks with all kinds of paradigms regarding the traditional formats of high-level shopping centers, being the first center outdoor commercial in Mexico City, has marked a watershed in the commercial design industry.
Antara, means "heart" in Sanskrit, represents an evolution that set the tone for urban regeneration and defines the design of the complex based on an open space, which broke with the conventional architectural forms for a shopping center, and risked not having department stores as anchors with the intention of retaining a more welcoming scale. Antara became a new and reinvented urban center, integrating public spaces, green areas, shops and offices.
The main floor distributes the spaces and unfolds through fountains that wind between the benches and the triangular volumes that rise from the ground, marking the main access points to the parking area. The layout of the retail spaces provides spaciousness to the open floor plan and allows the exterior design to be mimicked in the flow of the stores as part of an interior-exterior relationship. The circulations meet different vanishing points to reveal the urban interventions between the trees and green walls. Bridges connect the commercial passage on the first floor, configuring a materiality in which textures of wood and stone contrast with glass and metal. The resulting perspectives reflect an integral design of the finishes in each construction element.
The second floor embraces the fast food area, restaurants and movie theaters. This area receives natural light through modular elements through the use of glass as a key element, not only to confer transparency during the day and illumination at night, but due to the syncretic sensation that the patio acquires, as a result of the materials. used. The office building follows the curve of the interior street with a large horizontal construction of 9 levels, where the first three levels are part of the commercial track and the following six levels are designed for corporate use.
